What is a chenille tablecloth?
Chenille is woven from a plush, velvety yarn that catches the light and gives the cloth real depth of color. On the table it reads soft and substantial — closer to an heirloom textile than a flat weave.
Can I machine wash a chenille tablecloth?
Generally yes — cold water on a gentle cycle, then hang to dry or tumble on low so the pile keeps its softness. Check the care label on your cloth before the first wash.
What sizes do chenille tablecloths come in?
From 54" x 72" for a small table up to cloths 180" long — enough to cover a fully extended table. Our tablecloth size chart will tell you which size your table takes.
Where does chenille fit — everyday or Shabbos?
Both, which is the charm of it. Many of our customers keep a colored chenille cloth on the table all week — it hides the wear of daily use beautifully — and switch to white for Shabbos. Others set the Shabbos table with silver pearl or emerald chenille and let the texture be the statement.
